TF2 any good? I've been thinking about buying it.

TF2 is great fun. It's only, what? $30? Pretty cheap.

And valve keep releasing major updates for each of the classes (9), they've done 3 so far. In each update they add a bunch of achievements (~35) and 3 new weapons, along with new official maps, as well as maps made by community members.

 <--- Need that emoticon thing.

Yea TF2 is great, the longetivity of the game is really good with the achievements and its only $19.95 so really cheap for an awesome game. Well worth the money IMHO

Yeah its pretty cheap. Its like $20 of steam, then again it might be easier to just buy the game.
Or you could also get the Orange box if you want to play like portal etc.
However $30 for a game which is full of laughs i give it two thumbs way way up

My son and I are very much into the "Age of Empires" range of games, from the original version through to the mythology variants and the Empire Earth derivatives. We've not done any of the online stuff with them, rather we compete as a team against the computer or occasionally against each other.

What I have found quite interesting about these games is that they have sparked a real interest in ancient history in my son, with the result that he's very much into history from Roman times through to the middle ages and can tell the difference between a trebuchet and a catapult.

AOE was a great game, its a shame they havent updated anything since i think the last game was AOE Age of Kings.
It would be awesome if they could redo the game with the tech we have today.
Online the game wasn't too bad, could get a bit lengthy like a lot of RTS games.
But the first AOE will always be a classic, and you can get it on the Nintendo DS also =P handheld style

Um age of empres 2 and expansion, and Aoe 3 and two expansions except in 3 they made it so it didn't last for 2-3hours games and got it down to 20-30min games
Aoe3 has good graphics

AoE was a great game, used to play AoEII, never got a chance to play AoEIII. Last RTS i played was World in Conflict, which has amazing graphics. Seems pretty fun to, since there is no setup stage involved, unlike other RTS's.

Anyone here ever played Ragnarok Online? (probably on a private server)

Once again I advise everyone to check out Mount & Blade for a super awesome fun time. http://www.taleworlds.com/ (there is a good demo)
Think medieval combat with horses, archers, swords, axes, looting, sieges, armies, and castles. Let me know what you think if you give it a try.

PC Games I'm currently playing:

TF2
Thief 2
GTR2
Race07

I use to play AoE a lot when I was younger, first online game I ever played (Single unit spamming at it's best). But offline the addictive HoMM2 (Heroes of Might and Magic 2) could not be beaten! So many wasted hours there...

I have recently finished HL2 + Ep1 + Ep2, I really don't get what the big deal is, it's just not that much of an engrossing game for me...

Now that I finally brought a PC and don't have to use my MacBook as much, been playing Simcity 4... yeah old I know but mainly cause i used to love that game...

Thing is though it is not liking Vista that much :-(  Hopefully all the Vista bugs are sorted in Windows 7

Can't wait for Sims 3 though
