We are currently introducing a new ADSL2+ profile and we are looking for some iPrimus forum users to trial it for us.
It is called “Extreme Gamer” because it removes all interleaving and targets lower noise margins. Removing interleaving should result in lower latency for gamers and lower noise margins should result in higher sync / download rates.
This will be opt-in only through
wpenquiry@primustel.com.au, at this stage do not call through the support line and request to be placed on the profile as consultants do not have access to enable it. (They will have access to revert you to the standard profile if you have any difficulties connecting after Extreme Gamer has been added).
This profile will be available on Primus Net enabled exchanges only (Primus DSLAM), further more we do not expect this profile to work for all customers as it is quite aggressive. The usual ADSL factors of cable quality, modem and distance from the exchange will obviously affect whether or not this profile will work for you.

Once the profile has been added to your connection we will monitor it for a short period, if it appears to be stable in that time we will leave your connection with the Extreme Gamer profile added, if it does not appear stable we will revert you to your original profile.
Please leave your modem plugged in, we would also suggest that you have alternate access to the internet (dial-up / wireless / mobile) in case you need to e-mail us to have this profile removed.
