Seconded - I signed up for the Big Kahuna, and have been using it, with the understanding that peak was 12noon to 12midnight, offpeak the remaining 12 hours of the day.

Will somebody from iPrimus please confirm if Big Kahuna users have also been throttled to just eight hours of offpeak, and if so why we have not been notified of the change.

Thank you,
MsAmy.

Hi Guys,

If you look at the iPrimus website
http://www.iprimus.com.au/PrimusWeb/HomeSolutions/BroadbandInternet/
it still states Big Kahuna is off peak 12midnight to 12midday.

The Kahuna plan is different again. It is 2am to 10am off peak.

Hi Guys,

Just an info piece from Whirlpool we put up relating to the new Kahuna Plan. -In summary -your current plan is not affected, the only plan with different peak / offpeak is the new 75gb Kahuna (NOT the 200gb Big Kahuna)

Hi all,

Hopefully this may help to remove some confusion:

1) You can have the plan BUNDLED or UNBUNDLED – the DSL remains the same price. I.e if available to you (check with sales) – you can have it with or without the phone service with iPrimus. (p.s we prefer you have it with us Smiley)

2) The New Peak /Off-peak times (10am-2am peak, 2am-10am off-peak) ONLY apply to the $49.95 75GB "Kahuna Plan". As per BB choice – the peak/off peak times remain the same for all other plans (including the BIG Kahuna 200GB plan).

3) So if you change to the "Kahuna Plan" from any other plan, your peak/off-peak times will change to the new ones. If you change OFF the Kahuna plan, you will change to what ever peak/off-peak is applicable to that plan (i.e. it's your choice)

4) RE: Stability profiles – These are applied to accounts when we can see your service is dropping out / where we judge your service will be more stable with the stability profile, and these are applied automatically. Technical support can change these manually if you are dealing with a more complex issue.

5) There are Telstra Wholesale ADSL2+ prices for an equivalent plan (a "2+ Extra" Plan) – Which is ADSL2+ Extra Serious (heh) – Which is $109.95 bundled for 75gb (25gb peak / 50gb off-peak) – The price is higher – as Telstra wholesale is alot more expensive to provide, than ADSL off our own DSLAM. Please refer to: http://www.iprimus.com.au/PrimusWeb/HomeSolutions/BroadbandInternet/ (note the new Kahuna plan isn't on our website yet) -

6) Yes it is DD only. DD allows us to provide the plan at a lower rate, ensuring we don't have to chase some customers for invoices / pay to send out bills etc etc.

7) Currently you will have to call us to signup for the plan – The website is being updated.

Any other questions please let us know!

Thanks!

Thats just a tease, i can only get the rip off 2+ extra plans in my area and have to pay an extra $27.95 for the privilege. With nothing else in between i'm taking my business elsewhere.

Thanks for the clarification. I wandered all over my toolbox searching for confirmation, but missed the sales pages.

Cheers!
