iPrimus has recently launched Unmetered Traffic!

What this means is certain sites hosted by or near the iPrimus network can be excluded from your monthly download allowance. These include download mirrors, the iPrimus Gaming Network, Internet Radio, and more to come soon.

We also welcome suggestions for things we might be able to make unmetered, so if you can think of anything we could make part of the free download zone, let us know!

A current list of unmetered sites can be found in the links section on this forum.

I thought I'd be the first non-admin to post in here and to make it useful, here's a link to some previous discussion about unmetered content on the Whirlpool forums:

If you try and mount it directly from finder using connect to server. it will mount it every time you log in.
also try this http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/

You'll be able to use that with the new product I developed that should be announced very soon.

Is Lingo traffic part of Unmetered traffic?

I'm not sure what the final decision was on this, we talk about it when we first started planning unmetered, but I didn't hear what the final verdict was.

We have offered hosting... thing is they won't accept hosting from ISPs as they dont want to seem bias...

However they claim that the reason Whirlpool is slow is not cause of bandwidth but cause of the server itself...

Seems silly to me. I don't know how they would seem bias as most staff on WP avoid ISP threads anyway. They don't seem biased towards WebCentral.

Its been talked about in the rep section before, pretty much all the ISP's have offered to host them for free, but Whirlpool doesn't want to affiliate themselves with any of the ISP's, at least that's the gist of it.

Are you going to put any Open Suse stuff up? I had a look on the mirror, all the Suse folders are empty.
